Nightingale

Nightingale (André Reis)

Even in dreams there ain't such a delicate smile
Those little wings swept my feet for a while
Can't stand my ground, just waiting for the sound of you

You ignore me just to tease, oh I know
'cause when you see me I see that your eyes glow
but you provoke to tame me and hold me still

I won't get in your way, fly as you must
fly, my little bird
And when there's oceans and hills apart
I'll reach you, so don't give up

My Nightingale
My Nightingale

You feel lonely and start to wonder
You have never let those thoughts bring you under
But I know you well and you amaze me when you show that you're stronger

The path we walk few would dare to take
to live an ilusion that we cannot break
we'll be apart, but our hearts will still be the same.

Make your stand and fly your way
Fly, my pretty bird
And when you think there's no one beside you
just reach your hand and I'll pull you up!

My Nightingale
My Nightingale
comes the end of our tale.
